Presentation on Civilian Response to Active Shooter/ Attack Events
Recently Sergeant VanWhy presented, The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E.) course to members of the Penn State Extension, Nutrition Links at the Luzerne County Community College, Public Safety Institute. This training is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT)™ Program at Texas State University.
The Hanover Township Police Department provides this training at No Charge to Schools, Businesses, Community Members and Faith Groups. We like to thank Mr. Douglas Fawbush, Public Safety Director at L.C.C.C. and the members of the Penn State Extensions for requesting this important training.
