Mission & Values
Mission Statement:
It is the mission of The Hanover Township Police Department to
protect and preserve the lives and property of the people we
serve; to reduce the incident and fear of crime, enhance public
safety, pursue justice and improve the quality of life for our
Township's residents and visitors. Our mandate is to do so with
honor, integrity and professionalism.
Value Statement
The Hanover Township Police Department establishes the
following values as essential to the organization and the
community:
Honesty & Integrity-
Honesty and integrity are paramount to our profession and is expected of
all employees. Honesty produces an environment of trust. Integrity
produces an atmosphere of credibility. Honesty and integrity nurture an
open and safe organization for all.

improve the quality of life through pro-active involvement with the

Teamwork unites residents and police by sharing talent and expertise
leading to the successful identification of common goals, objectives and

We will develop programs that seek solutions to community issues through
a partnership with the people we serve. Through this partnership we
recognize and respect individual differences and encourage residents to
work cohesively to promote positive solutions to community concerns.
