As the newly sworn-in Chief of Police of Hanover Township, Chief Richardson brings decades of experience, a progressive, forward-thinking vision for modern policing, and a devoted commitment to the safety and well-being of the community. He is eager to foster stronger relationships between law enforcement and residents, implement innovative policing strategies, and uphold the high standards of service that residents, businesses and visitors of Hanover Township deserve.
Chief Richardson was hired as a patrolman in September of 2000 and worked his way up as a Patrol Division Segreant, Detective Sergeant, Assistant Chief and to his current position as Chief of Police. He has also served the department during that time as a drug task force officer, a field training officer, special entry team member, evidence officer, A.L.I.C.E. instructor, and a school resource officer for Hanover Area School District.
