Police will never call you about being delinquent on loan payments and they will never have you purchase a gift card for any reason. Never provide any personal information to anyone over the telephone unless you are absolutely sure who you are talking to and the information being requested is reasonable based on the reason for the request. If you are not sure, contact your local police department to verify the legitimacy of the call.
