Forty Fort Officers were dispatched to the Cross Valley Federal Credit Union located on Wyoming Avenue in Forty Fort for a suspicious male attempting to access an account inside the bank. Officers arrived on the scene, and credit union employees provided police with a passport that they said the male used to identify himself as an account holder at the bank, then pointed to a male seated inside the bank and informed officers that he was the male who provided the false identification. Through investigation, officers determined the male possessed a fraudulent passport. Officers subsequently arrested the male, and positive identification was obtained through fingerprint identification. Dinapolis Morales from Manhattan, New York, was arraigned by District Justice Tupper, who lodged MORALES in Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
Morales was charged with Access Device Fraud, a third-degree felony, False ID, a second–degree misdemeanor, and Identity Theft, a first–degree misdemeanor.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 9th @ 9:00 am before District Justice David Barilla.
