On September 7, 2025, at 4:02 a.m., Hazleton City Police Department officers responded to a call about a male lying in the road near the intersection of West 1st Street and North Church Street. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with an open fracture to his left leg. At this time, the individual has no recollection of how the incident occurred. The Hazleton City Police Department is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone witnessed the male walking in the area or has security cameras that may have captured suspicious activity, please review the footage and contact Ptlm. The injured male was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton, and later transferred to another medical facility for further treatment. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
