Forty Fort Borough to Hire a Full-Time Police Officer.

The Forty Fort Borough Civil Service Commission is accepting applications for the position of a full-time police officer. 

Minimum qualifications necessary to apply are: possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a GED, be a US Citizen, be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer, possess a valid motor vehicles operator’s license issued by the Commonwealth of PA prior to appointment, have complete Act 120 training and be current with training updates to within 12 months of the application deadline and have reached their 21st birthday prior to the deadline for submitted, completed applications. 

Copies of current certifications must be submitted at time of application.

Applications are available at the Forty Fort Borough Building, 1271 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, PA 18704 Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM or online at www.fortyfort.org.

Applicants will be notified of test dates once all applications are received.  Note that the Physical Agility Test is currently being revised; applicants will be notified of the new requirements prior to the test. 

Applications received after the closing date and time or not accompanied by certifications will not be eligible. 

A copy of DD214 must be included with the application in order to receive consideration for Veteran’s Preference.  The Borough of Forty Fort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
